That guy needs to keep out of everything.

Given his last 1.5 years, his wife filing for divorce, his living in a new area, the public scrutiny, his stress levels must be through the roof.

I hope this ends up being nothing serious.

I'm sure that he was just doing some civic duty and checked out some nefarious looking black faces in the neighborhood.

He was arrested for speeding (again) in Lake Mary last week. Guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Just from the alert, it looks like there was an argument/threat... so it may have been someone was looking to make good on one of the millions of threats he has received.

He wasn't arrested.. he was given a verbal warning the first time and a speeding ticket the second time. No need to sensationalize.

I think I'm gonna do something novel and wait 'till I have some facts before forming an opinion.

Wow, Zimmerman really needs to start thinking things through before acting.

In the link I read it did not say what happened so I will withhold judgement.

Not enough details to form a conclusion.

Pure speculation though, they probably arrested him as to avoid super dooper media blowing it of proportion.

Gee, a soon to be ex wife files a complaint that her soon to be ex husband threatened her and her father with a gun. Never heard of that before. It happens 1000 times a day all across America. This time however it involves Zimmerman and that's why it made the news. I am not saying he did or didn't do it, but we always say in these relationship threads that this type of thing happens.

Sorry, comparing a verbal warning and a traffic citation to an arrest is way more than "mis-spoke"....

If two people say you threatened them with a gun, it doesn't matter if you did or didn't, everyone is just going to assume you did. Not saying he didn't, but I'm not going to just assume that he did either.

Yaup, Fox is running the same bit:

This guy is like magic ferry dust when it comes to his ability to get the press to write his name without doing a shred of research.

Given the fact the major outlets are all shoving this out within minutes of one another -- I'd put money down none of them are really fact checking.

I'll wait until tomorrow and see if they've figured out some actual facts before I invest much thought. By then it will probably turn out he dropped his fork while eating dinner.
