Lets hear them.. Thanks..
Mix 2-3 pounds ground beef with two bread heels, can of tomato sauce, chopped onion, chopped celery, one egg, salt, pepper, and brown sugar if desired. Bake at 375 for 40-50 minutes, or until brown, making sure to juice every 10 minutes or so. Eat. Enjoy.
Buy a box of ZETRAINS dirty rice follow the directions on the box.
Lemmee tellya, I loved Hamburger Helper the 5-6 times I had it in my life...
If I wasn't working on limiting pasta, rice, and potatoes, I'd be experimenting with
all the new types and similar stuff being sold these days...
Some of these convenient preparations can be really good with a little doctoring and a few additions...
+1 for the Zatarain's Dirty Rice too...
I started making a dish I picked up in Ohio. They call it "Johnny Marzetti". Kind of like homemade Hamburger Helper. It is basically browned ground beef (with all your desired seasoning and adders, onions, garlic, pepper, but try and keep it "Italian" with oregano, etc.), then add canned chopped tomatoes. While that is cooking down, boil water and cook macaroni noodles (I use whole wheat pasta) until al-dente. Drain and add to beef mixture. Then add proportionate amount of Velveeta (or your favorite melting cheese), stir until melted. Serve.
You can go anyway you want with spices, etc. You can use flavored diced tomatoes, flavored/spiced Velveeta, whatever.
1 pound ground beef
2 limes, juiced
2-3 cloves chopped garlic
fresh mint (to taste, I use lots)
toasted sticky rice, ground
Brown the ground beef and drain.
Mix lime juice, fish sauce (I use an equal amount to lime juice), chili paste (to taste), and garlic.
Pour liquid over drained ground beef in skillet over medium heat. Add coursely chopped mint. Heat until mint is wilted.
Serve over rice or bed of lettuce (or both). Sprinkle toasted and ground sticky rice over the top.
Brown 1 lb ground beef and drain.
Return to pan over Medium heat and mix in 1 - 2 cans tomato paste and simmer.
While simmering make up one package of your favorite Mac&Cheese.
Combine Mac&cheese with beef mixure.
Variants: Brown chopped onions with ground beef.
Put in drops of your favorite hot sauce.
Use favorite BBQ instead of tomato paste.
Brown about 2lbs of meat with flour, shred some american cheese, chopped some onions fine along wth Jalapeno & cilantro and add some garlic & oregano and toss together, add alot of black pepper w/salt to your brown meat and spoon it on some corn tortilla and spoon while hot and spoon on some cheese. Makes a quick Carne Tortilla and tasy pretty good.
Very yummy, quick and easy and cheap
