You better go out and buy you a lottery ticket really fast before that string of luck runs out.

That gun is an outdated model that is missing the internal lock. If you value your family's safety, you'll trade it for a newer model ASAP. I just happen to have a 617 with lock...

So, I was at the pawn shop tonight.

I saw a new revolver on the shelf and I asked to look at it. It was Smith & Wesson 17-2 in excellent condition. What's even better: the price tag said $299.99.

I could not say, "I'll take it" fast enough.

PS: I also put a Marlin 39M Mountie on layaway. Price was $300.
You suck!

Just kidding. :kidding:

That is a very nice find. Congratulations.

Fine looking revolver. I had model 18 I think ? It was a 22LR 4" skinny barrel and a sweet shooter.

I hate, no, loathe, no, detest, no, DESPISE you! :tongueout:

Seriously, congrats! What a couple of great finds! A matched pair of fine .22s, what more could you need? And $300 each? I second the suggestion to buy a lottery ticket, might as well finish capitalizing on that lucky streak. :whistling:

You must live right Idontplaynice... sweet find. Half a century old and looks brand new!
(from Supica/Nahas)
17-2 (1961): Delete trigger guard screw, change cylinder stop
17-3 (1967): Relocation of rear sight leaf screw

Want to see the Marlin when you get it outta hock/layaway. Nice finds. Great deals.
