Same as EDC gun, 442-2 with a couple speed loaders of BB 110gr +p and TLR light.
Yes, waking up from sleep is a whole other ballgame
That experience happened to me about 7-8 years ago. After that - while I LOVE bright LED flashlights... I do not keep anything super bright by the bed
HK USP .40 always by the bed, plus what ever carry gun that was carried that day.
For many years a Colt LWC 1911. Then a Glock 27 with night sights for nearly 20 years. Currently a Glock 21 with night sights. Tagging along side it between the nightstand and bed is a Mossy 500 shotgun with a 20 inch barrel with low recoil buckshot and slugs. My wife keeps a Glock 23 in her nightstand.
XD9 with light and spare mag.
Technically a handgun. M85 in 556.
Also keep a cz p01 handy.
Gen 5 g17 24 round Glock mag loaded with 147gr HST's and a TLR-1
Not really my "nightstand" but I keep these nearby at all times.
From left to right: Cold Steel Master Tanto with custom kydex sheath, third-gen Glock 22 in Tagua Gunleather thumbstap scabbard with spare 15 round mag. Load of choice is an old box of Winchester Ranger 180gr. T-series JHP.
The ammo is still in great shape, but I've had it since about 2007, and if it wasn't for a massive ammo shortage right now, I'd shoot it off and get more.
Oh, and a nod to Sparkling Ice Fruit Punch-flavor sparkling water. Just bought two cases of this stuff, and I love it. This particular flavor is very hard to find, and they are doing a "Cheers To Heroes" donation, where you nominate your hero for a chance to win $10,000, to honor their service. For each submission, Sparkling Ice will donate $1 to the Honor Flight Network.
Needless to say, I'm a customer for life.
Grayguns....I'm not really big on safeties but bought this frame because I could pocket carry with a safty. The frame is notched for the safety which I added. I may take it back off as I use holster for pocket carry.
For my wife it’s an HK P2000 2-13rd mags and for me it’s an XDM Elite 3.8 with a tlr7a flex and 2-20rd mags. Also not to forget the keltec RDB with a 40rd mag of 223HP
Cool. I love the P2000. Until last month, it has been my carry gun for 5.5 years. My favorite HK.
I guess I’m cheating as I have 2.
G21 and a 20ga Shockwave
A lot of guys use that as justification for having a cheaper carry gun. Me personally, I want every advantage I can have.. Night sights on a home defense gun, and also on a carry gun. Something I shoot best with.
I have carried some very expensive guns over the years. The police taking it is the last of my concerns. Would I want it back once everything is over - yes. If it got damaged in their care - would I be happy? No.
But it did its job at that point. I want every advantage I can have. If it saved my life and I never could get it back - job well done. I am alive.
And, I personally would not rely on a 32 for home defense. I almost had to pull a gun once, and all I had was a keltec 32 in my pocket (this was over a decade ago). The next day, I switched to a larger carry gun and never went back to the 32ACP. The whole time I was in the situation, I was pissed at myself for only having that keltec on me.
Gen-4 G-21...filled to the brim w/ 230 grain XTP + P
Glock 17L with a tlr-1 hl, if I don’t grab an AR.
Whatever I carried that day - G19, G26, or PCR or (hopefully soon my G30SF)
SIG 365 OR SW MP COMPACT 40.
Glock 45 9mm. (The King of GLOCK)
