Picked up my first Chinese AK variant last year for $400. Nhm-91 with a modified East German side folder and a Midwest rail.

I can’t tell if this post is meant to be sarcastic. I bought a 10/22 last year brand new for $199. And they are still selling for that.

Shame that you'd have to get it with 10-round mags in NY. That's an elegant, functional pistol.
Look out for the meat slicer though.

I sold a LOT of my guns I had at the time when I was going through a divorce....
The two that really hurt and I miss the most are a 4" blued and un-fired Python and a really nice Garand!:crying:

I think ede was pulling some legs. I've seen pictures of some 10/22's he's built to shoot in competition.

    I can't make up my mind between an N frame 6" 38-44 Outdoorsman or a K-frame 8 3/8ths " Model 53 22 Jet with the spare 22 LR cylinder and the 22 Jet/22LR cylinder inserts.

With the 22 Jet, I would re-chamber the 22 LR cylinder to 22 magnum and use the inserts for shooting 22 LR.

And with the 38-44 I could reload the 38 specials to near 357 magnum velocities but get good accuracy with 38 special wadcutters.

Interesting to read what makes the list for everyone. I can't rememberer not shooting or being around guns. Dad shot on Navy Rifle team and set a few NRA records. I was at Camp Perry the first time when I was 6 or 7, dads still theer at West end of firing line and in front of the tower. My promiss to take him to Perry one more time. Right now only things on my list are:
    ẞS&W 41
    S&W 44 spls
    S&W 686 in Super 38
    P 35 Hi Power

Funny to think back on my "if I only had" list that I filled at one point. Thinking this or that would be the ultimate definition of me becoming a serious shooter or firearm owner. Some of what I wanted and owned

    STI 1911, now have 4
    S&W 44 spls in a 969 and 624
Colt Gold Cup, have one in Super 38
    Colt Commander in 38
    S&W 41
    AR15 lightest I could build
    AR heavy barrel
    Winchester 52, have 2
    Anschutz, have 3
Remington 40x, going to shoot it for first time today
    Ruger #1, have 6
    S&W 17 or 617, have 4
10/22 for games, think I have 10 or 11 two are stock. Two are hardcore Steel guns and several others would do for steel and others for target shooting
    S&W 1955
    S&W 27-2

I've been lucky and blessed to be able to enjoy this hobby and interest with a understanding wife who doesn't question my spending. I've met some increadable shooters and people doing this and have had some great times.
