I like to have 2 cups of coffee. It perks me up..
2 cups of coffee and some Jack3d.
If by weight training you mean repeatedly lifting a hamburger from a plate to my mouth, then I'd have to say a couple beers. If you mean physical activity, I just drink water.
Then again that would be the answer to any "favorite drink" question.
I also drink coffee before I lift weights...and I never drink coffee.

loseing weight...caffine is ok but theres better out there

when you lif,t a window opens about into the first 20 min of lifting where your body is screaming for protein to help repair your muscle ..it lasts untill about 40 min after working out..
lots of water + creatine 1 hour before workout.
Usually either water or a no sugar sports drink during workout.
Protein shake after (and/or protein bar), and a good sized meal.
Protein at least a hour before my workout then NeuroCore as pre workout.
Seen recent studies linking 20 grams of protein plus some carbs 20-40 minutes After the workout when insulin levels peak .. the science is solid I'm going that route now I do a piece of fruit like an apple and some water before .
Vodka and Tonic. Two limes.

Typically either some water or a preworkout. Iv used jack3d and now im trying one i bought for cheap that was on sale. Im going back to jack3d, cause this stuff is grape flavored and tastes like ****. I have just started the pre workout again, took a really long break. I dont feel like I really need it, but figure anything helps. Only thing im strict on is a post workout protein shake and my creatine afterwords.
One Costco organic chocolate milk, a hefty spoonful of peanut butter, 2 scoops Double choc Opt Whey Gold, one apple banana, and some ice. Cures what ails ya and tastes FANTASTIC.
Coffee about 1 hour before I go and 2 1/2 scoops of jack3D as I am headed out the door.
Protein shake 30 mins before, I do 2-3 scoops of Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex ( I'm 215lbs, amount of protein is dependent upon body mass). I also add in 2 scoops of Trueprotein.com "augment" and 1-2 scoops of "mg's powdered muscle". All that together is tons of protein (60-90g), ground up oats for a medium acting carb (50-100g), creatine, citruline malate, beta alanine, a gram of vit c, and a hydration complex. I then follow up my workout with 2 scoops of pro complex and then a solid meal about an hour later.
If your goal is weight loss you would just remove the carb component (if you are eating healthy carbs throughout the day), or go low carb throughout the day and keep the carb component, just depends on how you set up your diet. I would do low carb throughout the day and carbs before/during the workout.
Sports nutrition studies have shown that portein and carbs together in the blood stream before/during/after the workout leads to the greatest results.
