Im just wondering what you guys think of this if you have ever had it? For those of you who havent, it is a tea from Argentina that is suppose to give you a boost like coffee and has more vitamins than Green tea. So for those of you who have had it, how do you like it?

I read the thread title and expected this to be a baby name suggestion.

Sorry never tried it or heard of it, but interested to see if anyone has.

I think it's been in a few things I've taken before but I've never taken it by itself.

I saw the Yerba Mate paraphernalia all over Argentina when I visited there. Strangely though, no restaurants seemed to offer the stuff. Alright by me. I was busy swilling Argentine wine and eating mighty fine beef steaks.

    Good stuff IMO.
I like it, but it's been a while since the last time I tried it.

A friend of mine lived in Argentina for a year, and he got into it. Passing the cup and sucking on that silver straw along with everyone else in the room kind of put me off, but I did it for the cultural experience. It's not bad, but it's not something I'm going to give up coffee for.

Drank that stuff when I lived in Argentina. Nasty stuff. Even they claim it's an aquired taste. Take grass clippings, add hot water and drink through a metal straw that will burn your lips and throat. Like having chewing tabacco loose in your mouth.

Still spitting the stuff out hours later.
