Is it true that XS 24/7 night sights are approved for competition in the stock class of GSSF? How about IDPA?

Although now allowed by GSSF, they are quite useless at 20 and 25 yards.

Although they may be alright for close engagements. I agree with Coach. These would be useless for distances like 20-25 yards.

And for further agreement, I shot 3 categories in Orlando. I did OK in two but my express sighted 26 was a disappointment. I went to the armorer, removed my sights and begged a set of Glock factories. Sold my expresses at a loss.

I just did the same exact thing. I had the XS on the Glock 23 when I got it..I TRIED hard to like them and DID like them out to 15 yards...BUT anything beyond that they were NOT good. I complained about them to the guy(store) I got the gun from when I went back to have the armorer figure out why the slide would not stay back after the last shot(follower). When I got the 23 back he had also put the stock rear sight on it and left the front "night" sight on so I have a stock rear and XS(the SMALLER one not the huge dot) front...the rear post was in the box with the gun...so good out to 15yds poor after that.
