    HELP:
I am installing centos 4 and X will not start. The first error I was getting after loading the live cd was depth 12 not supported. I edited xorg.conf and set the depth to 24. I no longer get errors which shut down X, but I now get X to load with the mouse curser, but no graphics. If I Cntrl Alt Backspace and stop X, and look at the log, xorg.conf will not rec. the screen? Any ideas?

Sorry, I have no experience with Centos...

Try searching Redhat support forums, as Centos/Redhat, are nearly identical.

    Good luck...
