I am new to reloading and have been reloading 9mm only for about a month now. when I first started reloading I went to a gun show and one of the vendors there had some 9mm x-treme 115gr copper plated bullets for what i thought was a decent price so I bought 500. All 500 loaded and shot fine through my glocks, sig and my m&p. My question is; are the X-Treme bullets a decent bullet for plinking for different calibers as well such as 40s&w?

Yes all Extreme bullets are the same quality as your 9mm. They are very similar to Berry's and Ranier.

These are all copper plated lead bullets not FMJ bullets. As such they should use loads that are between cast bullets and fmj bullets.

You should stay below 1200 fps at the max. They perform very well if you don't try to crimp them too hard, as they have a soft copper jacket that could be damaged if you do so.

Also http://tjconevera.com/ has good prices on Extreme Bullets.

    Good Luck.

Xtreme bullets are plated thicker than other plated bullets. Jacketed data is fine. Start at the start charge and work up like any other bullet.

Do you keep them under 1200fps like the Berrys? I ask because I'm getting ready to start loading 357mag.

Nice! I'm gonna try to load some 357mag with the 158gr Xtremes I usually use for 38spl. Thanks -Wade-

Sorry I have no experience with X-treme bullets in 9mm, but I will say I load them for .40, .45 and 10mm and have been very pleased with their results. And I picked them up cheaper than Berry's at TJ Conevera for an added bonus.

I have loaded their 158gr PRNFP bullet for 357Mag with both 11.5gr and 13.0gr of 2400, without any problems. The 11.5gr load is VERY accurate out of my 6" 686+!
