Bart at the chalk board sparked a question. Would WWI beat WW2?

I think the invention and deployment of the A-bomb at the end of WWII makes the answer pretty obvious.

Have to agree... There was 25yrs between the two wars, and TONS of advancements in technology, etc.

It would be similar to the Spanish American war compared to WWI, no contest.

I'd go with WWII. You still stood a good chance of dying, but you were less likely to be blown to pieces by a shell, or drown in mud, or be shot by a machine gunner, along with all the guys on each side of you, and all of it for nothing.

According to the National WWI museum, 1 in 3 WW1 soldiers became a casualty.

WWI was not a vacation for Russian soldiers either... and as soon as they came home from the German front, they had to fight their own brothers in the Civil war.

Here is probably what I would say is a "Significant Difference"

In all reality it would not matter if you had 1 trillion troops... it really depends on if you can feed 1 trillion troops.

The aircraft tech alone that was fielded in WW2 would make WW1 a short fight. Not to diminish the trials endured by the WW1 guys.

    Agree 100%.

The Trenches are worthless when you have a fleet of bombers raining death on them day and night.

Even taking the planes away, the WWII tanks would roll through any ground forces WWI could throw at them as well.
