Is there a way to look at a box of Winchester white box ammo and tell how old it is? I have about 2000 rds. of 9mm and I want to shoot the older stuff first. Does anyone know how to decode this stuff?

Develop a list of the lot numbers on your ammo. Contact Winchester customer service and see if they can then give you information about date of production. An alternative is to list the lot numbers and then shoot them in order from the smallest to the largest lot number. JMHO. Sincerely. Brucev.

Thanks. I e-mailed Winchester, but I figured I'd check here also since it's the weekend and it'll probably be awhile until they get back to me. Hopefully it won't be sitting around all that long anyway.
