My dad is finally coming around and getting his CHL, but we need a pistol for him. As funds are a little tight, I'm looking to trade a custom one-of-a-kind steampunk keyboard built on an IBM model M. All of the keys are mechanical and have a very satisfying clicky sound, the keyboard is 100% functional and should last for 10 or more years - these things don't break. Strongly prefer FTF in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas so that you can get a feel for the keyboard, but I will consider shipping. Looking for a decent compact, preferably polymer, and preferably in 9mm, but we'll consider .40/10mm/.45 ACP. No glock .40s or .45 GAP. Would also consider a nice .308 rifle, assault rifles in any caliber, or something useful, but a CCW weapon for him is top priority. Comparable keyboards have sold for $1100-1400, the one site that sells a DIY kit has the kit alone starting at $400, and model M keyboards are around $100 a pop online. The keycaps are actual old typewriter keys.
