    SOLD

I am closing my old ad and starting this new one as just as I suspect, it is not easy selling the a pistol with a lot of other goodies. So here goes:

    - Sig P228 9mm (German KH date code)
    - MeproLight Tru-Dot Tritium Night Sights (#8/#8 bright and recently installed)
    - Hogue Aluminum Grips (I am 99% sure it's Hogue. These grips are night and day in superiority to the factory plastic grips. Your grip of the pistol will be the best you've ever felt. The right side grip cannot be removed currently because I screwed up the screw head. There are tools out there to take damaged screw out, but i don't have that tool.)
    - Original factory plastic grips
    - 2 Mec-Gar 13rds mags - like new condition and barely used
    - Parts kit with all sorts of parts with most either new or used once or twice
    - I have NO box and its contents for this pistol. The original owner could not find the box when he sold it to me.
    - The pistol is in excellent condition, other than a couple of nicks and scratches that are common with most used guns. I do not know the actual round count as the previous owner did not keep track, but he didn't shoot it much. I personally count all my rounds and have exactly 852 rds down the tube.
    - Price lowered to SOLD FTF in Houston TX or plus shipping cost to ship (pics below show all 9 mags but for this deal it will only include the 2 Mec-Gar 13rds mags. CHL holder gets preference over non-holder.

Price lowered to $675. That's including the aluminum grips folks ... they alone go for $140 new.

For those that asked, yes the frame, slide and barrel are stamped with the same serial number.

Probably won't sell because it makes you wonder what kind of maintenance a gun owner who screwed up a grips screw gave to that gun!

You are entitled to your own opinions, however wrong they can be ... but sometimes it might not be nice to piss on someone else's thread. Maybe you still have time to learn forum etiquette.

The pistol is flawless and of the time that I've owned and shot it, it has ZERO issues. I clean all my pistols after every range trip and I've sold many guns on different forums. I suggest you go do a search here, on SigForum, TexasCHLForum etc. and see if you will ever see someone that bought from me having any complaints about whether my guns are badly maintained and not what as advertised. Until you find such evidence, I respectfully suggest you keep your unsubstantiated opinion to yourself.

    Thank you very much!

I don't doubt the condition of the gun but I am curious how the grip screw got messed up. I love sigs but am also concerned about the grip screw.

    Good luck selling.

1.) I wanted to remove aluminum grips to try on the factory plastic grips.
2.) Right side screw was screwed on too tight
3.) I tried to unscrew it
4.) Screw seems a little soft
5.) Before I can give it up it was starting to peel
6.) Tried harder to go for removing the screw
    7.) Did not work out.
8.) Result = bad screw but nothing else.

Guys don't crap on his thread over a grip screw. SIG grip screws (especially the older ones found on the German guns like this one) are notoriously soft. Even using the proper size slotted screwdriver on a slightly tight SIG screw will deform the screw slot.
