WTS in MN: Roland Beaver Built M1 Garand USMC Match
I hate to part with this but need the funds to pay for recent purchases and I do not shoot this. It is a M1 Garand built by Roland Beaver of Old Corps Weaponry in Bald Knob, AR. Mr Beaver is a true master of the Garand. If you are not familiar with him, he served in the USMC in the 50s and 60s and among his accomplishments/credentials are:
-Member of USMC Rifle and Pistol Teams
-Instructor in Small Arms Repair School
-Was one of only 26 Rifle Team Equipment gunsmiths in the entire USMC
I know that there are millions upon millions of M1s in circulation, but this is the nicest one Ive seen. From Mr. Beavers own log(handwritten log pictured in last photo):
Springfield Receiver #3564xxx and all parts are select grade USGI, hand selected by Mr. Beaver for optimum fit. Barrel is a Douglas Premium service rifle contour. Select walnut stock and handguards. Parkerized to as new appearance. Match trigger job. Modified bolt and installed firing pin spring. Custom tuneable gas cylinder lock screw. Assembled and test fired.
I am the second owner of this rifle. It originally had a USMC medallion in the stock, but the original owner did not like the appearance and sent it back and had the stock replaced without the medallion.
I am looking to get $1750 shipped from my FFL to yours. FTF in the TC metro area of MN for $1700. Payment by USPS money order only. For local sale I can include 30-40 rounds of surplus ammo. NO TRADES.
