At this time, I only want to see about doing a FTF within an hour of Tuscaloosa or half an hour around Birmingham/Hoover. If I don't get any takers FTF within the specified area, I'll just put it up on gunbroker later.

Yes, that's right, a Mil Spec 1911-A1 in 9mm. According to Springfield, it is a PI9111 and was made in 1991. It's been long discontinued. I was told that it has German proof marks on the frame and barrel. I am at least the second owner.

It just came back from Springfield today to install a new ejector since the old one was loose, and tune the extractor. Springfield carries a lifetime warranty and pays FedEx shipping both ways.

There are light scratches on it and the rear sight was damaged along the way to or from Springfield. (Shown in the third pic) This was a lesson to me to always put guns in a hard sided padded case before over-nighting it instead of a soft gun rug.

Comes with the factory mag (As I believe it is) and a beat up box. The box was from a different gun of the same model so the serial number on it won't match the gun. No paperwork.

If I was in AL,I'd be all over this one. Love those 1911's, .45, .38Super, 9MM.

BTW Springfield Armory has the best customer service dept that I've ever dealt with. They are great.

If I could blame BAC for all of my 1911's he'd be in deep.

The Smith and Wesson site makes it look like a J frame without a rear sight. So no thanks.

Same here, if I only have the money and was in Bama. And yeah every time BAC posts a pic of another one of his 1911s my wallet hates me more.

    Bump to the top.

Remove the Kel Tecs from possible trades and add factory 9mm or .223 to the trade list.
