anyone got one in stainless or blue please tell me how much you want for it
Are you serious, or is this just a bad joke?
why would it be a joke?i think they are gonna be great pistols.i know they are out already i just havent been able to find one in my area and i dont want to drive real far to try to get one i know someone out there has one for sale its just finding it
OK, thanks -- I hope you find what you're looking for.
Because they just came out as I understand.
It is unlikely that most dealers have them at this time.
Even more unlikely that a consumer has bought one and already decided to get rid of it.
Give it about a year and you will see them turning up.
I've called every dealer in a one hour radius from me. Noone has gotten them yet. One claimed he did get one but sold it already, and he would supposedly have more later this week. He claimed it would go for less than $500, so I know he is lying about having gotten one, because them guys overprice their guns substantially. I know for a fact, when they do get them, they will probably try and sell them for $600.
But the reason I was posting is to let you know the stainless models aren't supposed to come out for several months after the blue ones.
Did any of you guys read the write up about them in the last Rifleman? I couldn't believe the groups they were getting.
For the price the PT1911 must be a super pistol.
Interesting thread here in the M1911.org forum:
Here's an excerpt:
And a follow-up post by someone who actually has one:
Sounds like we need to let them work the bugs out.
There is one at my local gun shop/range NIB blued for $550.00
The Firing Line

I don't know if they ship FFL to FFL
Thanks, but the reason I am looking for one is to get it for under $500 out the door. If I got one from your shop, I would basically be looking at a gun that is overpriced by $75 to $100 in the first place, then they are going to want to charge me a transfer fee and shipping on top of that, and then I am going to have to pay a transfer fee on my end to. I'm probably looking at $625 by the time that is all done and over with. I'll wait.
Looks like the suggested retail prices I posted earlier (above) were old and have been raised by about $100 by Taurus.
I visited their web site and it looks like they are $600 and above now.
