Bac, would you recommend this or a Pardini GT9? I'm looking at another high end 9mm pistol (I have a P226 X5 L1) and was strongly considering a GT9. Thanks in advance.

Yes I agree with all this.

While I enjoy shooting all my guns, the nice stuff is what I lean towards.

Tough choice there. The Pardinis have a great grip angle and are extremely smooth.

If you’re asking which is the finer pistol, it’s the Phoenix, no question about it.

Having said that, I seriously doubt any pistol could be more fun and pleasurable to shoot than a Pardini GT9. Certainly some equals, but I can’t say I enjoy other pistols more than my Pardini. In fact, I’d like to get a 6” GT9 Silver.

I haven’t shot the Phoenix yet, but still. It’s more precise and higher quality. It may even be more accurate. However, just something cool about the Pardini.

I’d stay with your first choice.

Thanks for the advice. I was actually leaning towards a 6 inch model in silver. I'll continue down that path.

Sounds good. I’d like to get a 6” Silver myself at some point.

    I’ve got a 5” Black and 6” Inox

    Thanks Berto

I could do without the rail, but otherwise I agree that they make awesome beautiful pistols.

Yeah it’s pretty much the perfect execution of CZ’s design.

I’ve yet to see any other that comes close to this.

Indeed, I was in the gun shop in Winchester, England with an English doctor and looked at the shotguns in one rack. No prices on them but when I asked I found out that the cheapest was £20,000!

I have to absolutely agree with Brian on the quality of the old Sphinx pistols, they are really outstanding and make the trigger on a standard CZ SP-01 appear terrible. I am having a Sphinx in .45 ACP for a customer here right now while he is caught abroad and unable to return to the U.S. that is a gem.

As to practicing with a rifle and getting it scratched up, it doesn't matter a damn with the issued gun and neither is ammo cost :) but all the full auto and military matches that I shot make me appreciate fine guns even more.

This is on my bucket list, and have bought a few firearms from the attic. Have you fired the Sig p226 legion sao? I really like the trigger and reset on the sig. The redback has a light trigger pull, and short reset as stated. I wonder how it compares to the sig. Darn nice looking, I wish I could shoot one magazine!!!!

    Beautiful gun Brian.

Not my current flavor of tea, but a fine precision firearm is always going to be of interest to me. Seems this one is geared toward the pure pleasure of accurate shooting.

    Thanks for sharing it.

    Thanks

Kind of geared towards Production competition I guess, much like the CZ Shadow 2. Yes, it’s a gem for sure. They build incredible firearms.

Here is my original Master; built like a, dare I say, Swiss watch.

I might have to find a new one to compare. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this one though, as far as I am concerned.

I shot this pistol for the second time today. It really is the best of the best in terms of currently produced handguns.

Incredible accuracy and the gun is perfectly balanced. It feels like you’re holding one solid piece of steel in your hands.

    I very highly recommend them.
