Just stripped my "affected" G30 frame before sending it back to Smyrna. I couldn't believe how simple it was after reading the Glockmaster unofficial armors guide.

Now I have a complete set of spare parts if my upgraded frame ever needs work. But, more importantly I have the knowledge and confidence to get to the bottom of whatever might break or wear out at least in the lower. Next project is the slide disassembly and channel cleaning. I'm thinking it's about time for my 27. It's 2 years old.

I do have one question. I couldn't figure out how to remove the magazine catch spring. Too late now but any hints for next time?

Grab the end of it with a needle nose plyer and pull it out...

now don't you just hate yourself?

    YES!;i
Like I said. Pretty simple aren't they?

Do those springs ever break? Should I order a spare so I'll have a COMPLETE set of lower internals?

I've never seen one break, I wouldn't waste the postage or the time.
