Would you trade a G26 for a G30?

I have a nice G26, night sights, Ghost trigger and a few extra mags. Thing is, I don't shoot it much and it lives in the center console of my car. I have 3 1911's, two of them in .45, and I like the caliber. Should I trade for a stock G30? If so, should I ask for cash back to me?

Any thoughts appreciated...Thanks!

They will give around $300-$375 for your 26. At least around my parts the going rate for a trade in with nights sights (Trij) is $325. If you get an even trade, then jump for joy.

Good Luck!
I would take a g30 over a g26 any day. and that's coming from a guy who has shot every glock on the market. Just do an even trade.
I dont know that you would get any cash back due to the g30 being a more expensive gun than the g26 to begin with...a stock g30 costs about the same as a g26 with glock night sights....that being said I have never seen a used g26 last more than a day or two at any shop around here, mostly you never ever see them used but if you do they are gone the next day....and thats at over 400 bucks....I have seen used g30's sit on the shelves for months at around the same price....so go figure....at least in southern nh, the 9mm glocks sell out first and very quick, everywhere you go...
I would probaly trade the g26 for the 30 though as I am a big fan of that gun....
I have a G30sf with 2 10 rd mags and 1 9 rd mag plus 2 holsters that I tried to do a even swap for a G26 at a local show here in NY.

He told me he would only give me $300 for it. I was mad since the G30 cost more than the G26. They wanted $625 fr the G26 and had no G30's in the case.
If you already have some 1911's, then I'd say keep the G26 for a range gun, since the ammo is cheaper.
26 for a 30? Yes. 27 for a 30. No. IMHO.

I own both and would never sell or trade either. But, it doesn't sound like you carry the 26 which is why I own one. If you won't carry it and are content with only 45's, it sort of makes sense to trade it.
If you G26 is used and the G30 is brand new you should do straight trade, but to be honest I wouldn't trade, keep the G26.

IMO, the bold above is the answer to your own (caliber) question because the G26 is not offered in .45acp.
it always makse sense to me to stay in caliber, so yes I'd trade the G26 straight up for the G30. Maybe even make a side deal on ammo.

Now, if the G30 is going to be anything more than a console gun, then I'd say no dice because for ex: carrying a G30 is not the same as carrying a G26.

Agree . Carrying a G30 is great, but not the same as a lighter G26. Trade as fast as you can! Rarely find a G30 in the case around here!
If you can trade a used and modified 26 for a new 30 for $275 OTD you will be doing good.
Did you consider the G36?
no just save up and buy the gun you want, I would not trade one glock for another.
I never found it a problem to own multiple calibers. I have .40s&w, 45acp, 9mm, .357sig, .17HMR, .223, 5.56, .22LR, 12 gauge shot and slug. I just see no reason to keep a lot of anything on hand.

I keep a good stock of .45acp, 5.56 and .357sig in case of dooms day...
I just sold a LNIB G30sf after just having to have one. Anyway the larger framed guns G21,G20 G30 sell for more that the smaller framed guns generally $15 to $25 more. I found a deal on Gunbroker.com and paid $450+$25 shipping for the NIB G30sf. Didn't like it sold it for $475+$25 in about 2 days on GB. Found a G19 nib for $460 shipped and am very happy now!

What?

Anyways, it sounds like you've already made up your mind. I myself would not trade my G26 for a G30. Not a fan of .45 Glock aka the bricks attached to 2x4's.
