Would you get rid or your Gen 4 for a Gen 5?

    I'm just curious what you all's opinion is on if the Gen 5 is worth it enough to get rid of your Gen 4 you already own. I'm somewhat on the fence. I really like some of the new features, and cannot make up my mind.

    No. There's not enough there for me to make the switch and I like what my Gen4 has.

    Definitely not!!!!!! They will make a nice addition to the collection but don't sell the Gen 4s.

    i sold all of my gen 4s and replaced all of them with gen 5s so....yes.

    I've learned with any new model gun, whether Glock or not, to not sell off a perfectly working current gun.

    Run the guns in parallel, i.e., keep both and thoroughly vet the new gun as there may be unforeseen and even now, unforeseen issues, yet to be reported, regarding something you don't like.

    For one issue I've noticed is there are no suppliers of either aftermarket or actual Glock parts yet should spares be needed. Parts for Gen4 models and below are readily available. Any breakage on a Gen5 will mean a trip back to Georgia and its unknown if Glock in GA will have every Gen5 part yet.

    I purchased a Sig, 938 when they first came out. That was a mistake!
    I purchased a G43 when they first came out. That was a mistake! ( 9lb plus trigger )

    I suggest be patient and let the birthing pangs subside.

    Nope. Nothing in the Gen 5 interests me. Even at half off the selling price won't make me lift a finger. But if somebody gives it to me for free, then I'll take it. Probably sell it later for another gun.

    I love my 4th Gens and my 3rd, I'm planning on geting a 5th but I'm going to wait till after Christmas. So nope wooden get rid of any older GLOCK

    I currently own 1 Gen3, 3 Gen4s and 1 Gen5 so; NO! I just spread the love around between all my 19s. :)

    Sold my Gen 4 19 to get the Gen 5. The only gripe is the front strap cut out. But I was already sold on the no finger grooves. If/when (GLOCK) decides to release a Gen 5 26, I'll pick one up. But I won't get rid of the OD Gen 3 and OD Gen 4 that I have now.
