I'm just curious what you all's opinion is on if the Gen 5 is worth it enough to get rid of your Gen 4 you already own. I'm somewhat on the fence. I really like some of the new features, and cannot make up my mind.

No. There's not enough there for me to make the switch and I like what my Gen4 has.

Definitely not!!!!!! They will make a nice addition to the collection but don't sell the Gen 4s.

I'm down to two Glocks. All others perished in Irma's wrath.

I've learned with any new model gun, whether Glock or not, to not sell off a perfectly working current gun.

Run the guns in parallel, i.e., keep both and thoroughly vet the new gun as there may be unforeseen and even now, unforeseen issues, yet to be reported, regarding something you don't like.

For one issue I've noticed is there are no suppliers of either aftermarket or actual Glock parts yet should spares be needed. Parts for Gen4 models and below are readily available. Any breakage on a Gen5 will mean a trip back to Georgia and its unknown if Glock in GA will have every Gen5 part yet.

I purchased a Sig, 938 when they first came out. That was a mistake!
I purchased a G43 when they first came out. That was a mistake! ( 9lb plus trigger )

I suggest be patient and let the birthing pangs subside.

Nope. Nothing in the Gen 5 interests me. Even at half off the selling price won't make me lift a finger. But if somebody gives it to me for free, then I'll take it. Probably sell it later for another gun.

    Heck no. But I don't own a Glock in 9mm, so I'll probably buy a Gen 5.

    I currently own 1 Gen3, 3 Gen4s and 1 Gen5 so; NO! I just spread the love around between all my 19s. :)

    No.

Dump the front strap cut out and we can talk about replacing my gen 3 19.

Stay far away from my Gen 4 17, 26, 21

Sold my Gen 4 19 to get the Gen 5. The only gripe is the front strap cut out. But I was already sold on the no finger grooves. If/when (GLOCK) decides to release a Gen 5 26, I'll pick one up. But I won't get rid of the OD Gen 3 and OD Gen 4 that I have now.
