A lady at work was telling me she wanted to do that. IIRC, it was about $2 a square foot for the pennies...

I thought it looked pretty dang cool...

Wonder what they use to secure the pennies to the base?

Hell no. Way more hassle than I'm willing to put up with, both to install and to maintain. Tile, vinyl, or hardwood all the way.

I'm guessing everybody's feet turn blue on bottom and smell like your hands after handling coins. Doesn't sound like my cup o' tea.

Negative. There's a clearcoat on the entire floor, so you can't actually touch the pennies or smell them.

That looks really cool, but there is no possible way I could do that with my OCD. I would have to have every penny either heads or tails, and all facing the same way.

it looks almost fun to do and i said almost.Actually i wouldn't want to come close to anything like this.

Here is the recipe for everything.

Copper Pennies + Clear Resin = Beautiful Floor If you want to try this: Save this picture and go to your local Big Box Home Improvement store and ask them what type of Clear Resin would work the best and what kind of under-lament would be needed. In this picture they had a concrete floor to work with. Yes, it would be cheaper than the average floor, if you did the work yourself. Th...e price, including the cost of the pennies would probably range from $2.50 to $3.50 a square foot. - Paul Cobb. >US cents made after (and during) 1982 contain no copper (coating only). Ideal range would be from 1959-1981. Glue on level surface, coat w/polyurathane like a hardwood floor and layer as thick as needed

Oh and for that person who said i needed to learn how to spell college(i know how to spell).I was on my way out the door and didn't worry or think about mispelling one word.Sorry,it won't happen again.
