I really like my new 43. IMO the single stack 9mms are the optimum balance of carry, concealability, shootability, and power for the civilian CCWer.

I carry a 19. It's small enough for me. If anything, I'm going bigger, with my Walther PPQ M2 SD .45ACP.

Or if Glock made OEM factory extended mags you'f have two options in one gun. I don't trust any aftermarket mags or extensions but I trust Glock magazines implicitly.

I own both a G43 and a G19, but generally carry my G27 as I prefer the .40. That said I do carry the 43 a bit during the summer and I do open carry the 19 when I want to shoot it at our range. I compete with that one, actually all three.

    That or the 19.

43 is too small for my preference.

I carry my 43 for EDC. If I am in the backcountry, my 29 will be on my hip.

Of the two, I'd carry a 19, it fits all of my holsters. I've had a bunch of thinner, lighter guns than my 23, but I carry it only so they're gone. I ride a motorcycle, the only change I make is the holster I wear on the bike has better retention (Serpa) than the Galco combat master I wear the rest of the time.

Both. Not a 43, but I have a 43X and 19 on my permit and alternate according how I dress for the day, which is usually dependent on the weather or what I plan to be doing that day. I train, am proficient with both and I carry both in the same position, so alternating is a non-issue, personally speaking.

My G19 is my primary carry. I carry it everywhere unless my attire prevents it. I carry the G43 if a slimmer fit is required or as a BUG.

I carry the 43 some days and the 19 on others. Been carrying the 43 more lately especially when driving.

Size, weight, capacity, and how good I shoot it determines what I carry. For years it was a Glock 26, than a Glock 42. Now its a Sig P365. If its too big, to heavy I don't want to carry it. Most of my older carry guns are now home defense guns. The Glock 19 is a great gun, but for me its a great Home defense gun now.

I carry my Gen5 G19 daily IWB and a 17 rd mag for a reload. That 33 rds of Speer Gold Dots....if I need more than that I was stupid to get involved to begin with lol

I keep a G43 in my Jeep if I need to drop it into a cargo pocket. I personally prefer my G19’s over all of my Glock pistols.

    I used to carry a 5” 1911 or a
4 1/4” commander for years so hiding a gun isn’t an issue. I also learned how to do less with more, meaning I had 9 rds in the gun and two mags of 8 for reloads. When I carried a Sig P225-A1 it was the same round count. Smaller gun but more than enough to do the job.

In the end it doesn’t matter what you use. Use what works best for you and train on it.

OP I’m asking that same question except I want a 43X.

Having used a Shield9 as an EDC for the last 2 years I believe size does matter but weight matters more.
