I saw this movie the other night and can heartily recommend it. I wonder how many people would keep trying to make it when you see the obstacles that Bert Munro encountered on his journey to the Bonneville Salt Flats. Even if you know the outcome, you cannot help but wanting him to succeed. The following link will give you a little more information on the movie.

One of the folks on another forum had said that there was a film clip of me and my sister in the movie (the photo is from Bonneville in 1965) so I went to verify it. I'd wanted to see the movie anyhow and even though I'm not in there it's still a great movie.

I watched this flick when it first came out. Is it on DVD already? Definitely a must-have.

I had a friend from the UK that was in the Salt flats doing motorcycle speed records but I don't know exactly what project he worked on. I don't think he rode. He helped me build a rickman kawasaki. that was fun. I think this was late 60s early 70s timeframe that he was there. He was/is a bit crazy. Lost track of him. :)
