I want a yardwork/light construction glove that lasts. Cheap ones don’t last. Pricey ones weren’t much better. The most abrasive thing I use them for is probably cutting/hauling/splitting stacking firewood. Any ideas?

You can buy a 3 pack of Wells Lamont leather gloves at Costco for like $22 or so. They work good for me.

They just say leather. My favorites are goat skin but I can't find them any more. I had to wear my worn thru, ripped seam pair the other day. tom. :cowboy:

    Meh....

Cowhide, not goatskin according to the description. Gotta pass on those.

Cowhide, like deerskin, wears out too fast for my use.

Would love to have some gloves in elephant or rhino hide, but good luck finding those.

I tried buffalo, but I found that it wears out about like cowhide.

    Think I’ll stay with goatskin.

They have the appearance of deerskin. Some of the best leather gloves made are deerskin!

I work as a Mailhandler for the USPS. I spend my day on a forklift.

I like the sensitivity of a thin glove like goatskin or deerskin for the operating controls of a lift. Either allows me to “feel” the controls.

Goatskin lasts longer for me, based on almost thirty years experience.

Since you use a chainsaw, you might want at a safety glove like these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Husqvarna-57...saw+gloves&dpPl=1&dpID=41IUJewPquL&ref=plSrch

I use something similar from Stihl that I bought from a local forestry supply/chainsaw dealer.

Also, don’t forget the helmet with face screen and some protective chaps.

Ask me how I know. Subject for another thread.
