    What a horrific way to dispose of our troops.


    But why would the families not want the remains of their loved ones back??

    The remains are only the unidentified bits of tissue that they end up with after cleaning up the corpses. Not whole bodies.

    Still, it's the remains of soldiers. They should be treated with dignity and respect. Also, the article mentioned "partially cremated remains" being thrown in the trash there; that sounds to me like a lot more than "unidentified bits of tissue".
