Tell me about it. I have been zapped by lightning. It hit the next door neighbors garage, but the surge knocked my off my feet. My shoulder muscles were sore for weeks afterward.

Creepiest thing, but right before the strike I could tell something was about to happen.

I've had it strike about 50 feet from me before..... Scared the heck out of me. Since then I kinda have a lightning phobia.

So far I have not been struck by lightning or won the lottery.

well being that north carolina is number 1 for lightning strikes and im a farmer i have had over 20 close calls thru the years . the really scary one was a freak quick storm about 10 years ago , i was in middle of field on my tractor so i jumped off and laid down in field . the field was freshly plowed then i heard a big crack at my feet and it was gone but my feet tingled for weeks and my right ear hurt for a few days .
very weird / i dunno if it hit or just came close but the dirt was not disturbed . its easy here to be sunny and all of sudden boom !!!!!
