With the cold weather my local range, Duane L Corbin, is closed for the year. Are there any indoor ranges in central WI even eastern to Green Bay or Appleton?

Our range in Superior is open year around. Outdoor range but no big deal with gloves. I go there once a week at least.
The club range is open year around but is outdoors. Appleton and Green Bay area ranges are usually owned by clubs and require membership to use.

I wouldn't mind becoming a member of a local range but Green Bay/Appleton is a little far to justify membership fees.
Deerfield pistol and archery in Deerfield, WI is where I go...then again, it probably a 70-80 mile drive from Appleton.
Don't know if you want to drive to Marshfield but the Sportsmans club here has a nice heated indoor range that is usable on Tuesdays for a $5.00 donation. Typically it's handguns only but the occasional .22 rifle does show up as well. They do require you be a member but that is only $40.00 for a family membership a year. You can buy the memberships at Bull's Eye Sports in Marshfield.

that is really cool, do they have a website? i will actually be starting a job in Marshfield on Monday!

Do you know the hours on Tuesdays?
PM sent. I thought others might be interested so I'll post some more info here.

The website with address and phone number is:

http://www.wsn.org/counties/CWSCpage.html

Bull's Eye Sports in Marshfield is:

1201 South Central Avenue Marshfield, WI 54449-4134 - (715) 384-6580

They sell the memberships to the range. I'm sure others sell them too but I frequent this shop and am perhaps a little biased. They don't make money off the memberships but they have a nice selection of stuff to spend future paychecks on.

The two indoor ones I know of in Appleton/Green Bay are pretty much garbage unless you want to shoot a .22

The one in De Pere(Greenbay) you can forget about as it is only open to pistols shooters tuesdays for bullseye league other than that it it is a Trap boys club.

I live in the Green Bay area too, just north of it in Suamico.

Whereabouts are you located?
Oh, and to answer the OP question, I shoot at the Oconto County Public Shooting Range. For those of you in the GB area, its North on 41 past Abrams, follow 141 on the 41/141 split, then Left on E.
I shoot at the occonto range on the weekends or twin city rod and gun down in Appleton area during the week on my lunch break. I used to be a member at the range in east Depere but got fed up with the politics and the fact that it is mainly a trap and archery club and were pretty closed minded about pistol and rifle stuff so I stopped giving them my money each year.
My favorite area is our camp property in the U.P., lots of elbow room. Next it's on a buddies farm. After that it's the McMiller Sports Center range in Eagle, WI.
Anything near Madison, WI or its surrounding areas? I am going to be moving there shortly. Thanks.
Twin City Rod & Gun Club is near Appleton. Its open on weekends during Winter time and its only $35/year or $10/day. Its outdoors and has 7, 15, 25, 50, 100, 200 yard paper targets also 200 yard and 330 yard (300 meter) steel gongs. Has the typical restrictions concerning ammo (no AP, Steel Core, Tracer or Incendiary bullets) and no rapid fire (5 sec between shots).

Saukville.
I belong to Nicolet Rifle Club in Suamico (7 to 200 yard) so I shoot there alot. I also shoot at Shiocton which has a 500+ yard berm for rifle shooting and at the Oconto County Machickanee Shooting Range in the winter when Nicolet closes early and I have to send a few rounds down range quick.
Since Fathers' day last year the Family Shooting Academy has been open in Green Bay. This is an indoor public range. You can either get a yearly membership or rent the lanes by the hour. Any caliber .308 or smaller is allowed.
Rapid fire is A-OK but no full auto or bump firing at Nicolet. You can shoot anything including a .50 BMG. There is a heated shooting booth at the 50 yard line and the whole firing line is covered.

I'm another Suamico resident who uses Oconto ($5 honor system).

I've never been to Family Shooting Academy, paying $23/hr to shoot isn't my cup of tea.

Nicolet is really close to me. I use them in the fall for sight in. I hit the bowling pin 5 or so years ago and won the drawing for the rifle.
