Edit: Thank's Turbo Rocket....I was so excited...I became color blind for a section....yes....red is a beautiful color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would post this in the politics section....but frankly the way things are going...this to me seems less like politics and more about our way of life!

    Republican Walker defeats Barrett
Huge upset 3 term Democrat Senator Russ Feingold out...Johnson In
    2 U.S House seats gained
Democrats Lost control of both the Senate and House

I play nonpartisan politics. I vote issue. I am not a Republican or Democrat...conservative or liberal....but this shizzle has to stop

Republican party of Wisconsin...you better listen good and long. We are sick and tired of hearing about a $900 million dollar high speed rail that will be underused....will cost a fortune to maintain...and will be a major financial hole in a few years. Yes it will create a lot of short term jobs...try and think past the next election.

Wisconsin has been historically one of the highest taxed states in the country. We have been in the top 10 heaviest burdened states for 30 years. When you look at a map of who pays the greatest percentage of income..you see Hawaii and California...you see pretty much the entire NE....and only two states in the middle...Wisconsin (#10) and Ohio (#7). My property taxes increased 22% last year in a housing market where values decreased 20% OR more.

Wisconsin hasn't been this "red" in over a decade.

If you have any sense (but you are politicans so I won't hold my breath)...you better not f this up.

And if we EVER had a chance to get a CCW law on the books...NOW is the time.

I couldn't tell if this was some sort of witty satire at first.

But now it looks like a clueless bumpkin.

LOL, yes you are a Red state now, but yes congratulations. Maybe you can do something about the lack of gun rights in your state now.

Coming from a Minnesota resident...I take that as a compliment. I thought Wisconsin's financial mess couldn't be worse...then I looked west and saw Minnesota.

High speed rail...in Wisconsin? Does anything happen up there that requires people to get somewhere fast?

From where does the "red = republican, blue = democrat" thing originate?

I never heard the red/blue thing before a few years ago.
    What is that about?

I'm happy Walker got it. Chances are Wisconsin will no longer be one of the lone states with no concealed carry policy.

And one would think that Red would be more associated with Democrats in the first place.

Blue is known as a more conservative color (Blue blood, etc.,) Red is liberal (who wants a BLUE sports car???) And that commie thing.

I guess REDpublican was easier to remember than DemoRED.

I recently converted to MN but all of my family is in WI so I have to leave the guns in the trunk if I ever go visit them. The newly elected officials have specifically said they would pass concealed carry laws so I'm excited that they won. Lets hope they keep their word.

Nah, the fascist mainstream media wanted people to associate conservatives with red, in as much as the color red was always associated w/commie Russia.

Screw the mainstream media. I come to the internet gun forums for news. The sooner cbs, nbc, etc, die, the better off the country will be.

Blueblood comes from inbreeding, don't overthink it...

I'm on my second blue Porsche, and I've owned blue motorcycles as well. I like blue.

Hey Pug, I just posted a thread in Carry Issues... You guys have been so close on CCW several times, but always got "Doyled"... and the Dems wouldn't stand by their convictions, despite initially passing w/ veto-proof majorities..

So.. since I don't know much about WI's local politics, what's the chances of getting a CCW bill to the new gov's desk? I read his bio, and he clearly stated he supports carrying firearms.
