Here's the view from my place two weeks ago. Highs in the 60s and most of the snow melted (we got 242" so far).

Then last week we got 2.5 feet in a few hours with it snowing into the weekend we settled on another foot or so. These are waves from the 40mph winds. We had gusting up to 60mph. Snow drifting like you wouldn't believe. The rocks above the railing in these pics are totally submerged in the summer. That big rock on the right is about two-two and a half feet tall.

Then this was last Sunday the day after the snow stopped. You'd never know schools canceled or the blizzard that occurred.

With that kind of view, I would put up with the snow. ;)

Pretty much. Our average is 20 feet per winter. Damn lake effect snow.

Kind of funny, I'm looking at your pics and I'm thinking this poor guy must be in the MI UP. Then I looked at your location, Calumet is up there a ways isn't it?

Yup. Waaaay up in the Keweenaw. I'm 35 miles south of Copper Harbor and about 15 miles north of MI Tech (Houghton).

I was shoveling all week for spring break.
