Has anyone ever seen the contents of the WINDOWS folder become hidden.

Not hidden in the sense of properties, but hidden as is nothing is there at all.

When I try to created a new folder called system32 it gives me an error that the folder already exists.

My first thought was spyware or a virus, but I could be wrong??

    Thanks!
    Corey

    Go to "Tools"
    "Folder Options"
    "View" tab
Make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also, if you want to see everything, uncheck the box that says "Hide protected Operating System files"

System32 is a windows XP sub folder that you can not replace or delete.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32

    Try system33
