There is a computer at my job that nobody has the password to and I would like to use it. It runs windows 2000 nt. Is there a easy way to get around the password. I am a computer expert but I could follow instructions. Thanks

Does your user account have Full Administrative rights?
Log in as you would normaly would.

    Right click my computer

    Manage

    Local Users and Groups

    Users

Right click the Administrator account and select set password.

Once that's done try to log on as the local Administrator.

    It should let you in.

If not then google for an ISO image called Austrumi 0.92
    Make sure it's version 0.92

burn the CD and boot with it.

once the boot screen comes up type NT_pass. You have like 5 secs to do it, so type fast.

    Follow the default prompts
set the adminsitrator password to *

reboot and see if you can log in. Let the system do the consistency check.

If it does not work try it again.

    good luck
