    Here is my bonehead problem.

I have an older Dell Optiplex GX1 system. I installed 2 drives and Win 2000. Everything was working fine but I did not like the letter designations of the drives (C: Primary HDD; D: CD-ROM; E: Slave HDD). So I wanted to switch the D: and E: drive designations.

Using the Disk Management utility in Win 2000, I switched them. Following that I get a Disk I/O Error. I tried to switch it back and that did not resolve the problem.

I disconnected the slave HDD drive and now am re-installing Win 2000 with the hopes of resolving the issue.

    Any suggestions/comments??

When I reboot, it flashes too quickly to read. When I tried to reinstall Win2000 (new install) it gave me a Disk I/O Error=0000BB01.
