I would like to disable programs that I do not use and are not necessary. Reason? To Speed Up my computer. Any info would be Greatly Appreciated. :beer:

Hi! Well.. I couldnt wait any longer for a reply. So... I did a search and found http://pcstats.com Beginners Guide 101 Tweaks for Windows XP. Alot of VERY helpful information there.

one trick is to go to the run line and type: msconfig

it'll open up some detailed stuff and you can control certain things that are otherwise somewhat hidden.

another tip, go into admin tools, services, and disable your Messenger service. this service isn't needed unless you use built in messaging for the internal network...no one does that...we all use MSN, ICQ, AIM, etc.
