Watch out if you buy from Wilson's Combat and you find flaws with their stuff...they do not honor their guarentee for return purchase price plus shipping. It happened to me!

I used to really like Wilsons and had four of them. I find their quality to be inconsistent and they are overpriced. Switched to Les Baers.

I had an extended slide release that I purchased from Wilson's. It was guaranteed to work on all Colt 1911's. It was a "Universal" fit. Not so. It wasn't even close. You couldn't make it work, even by grinding on the thing.

    I emailed Wilson's and they didn't care. $27.00 down a rat hole.

I know the feeling. They sent me a catalog and I gave it to my neighbor and told him he could have it! I lost money on their holster and "Guarentee!" No more for this guy!

My general feeling about Wilsons is that he had an excellent product at one time but decided he could use the name and reputaton to price gouge. I have heard of lots of employe problems with many employees leaving, starting their own companies etc. Also financial problems with cash flow etc which could lead to poorer warranty service in an attempt to save money. Thats all hearsay of couse but its what I've heard in bits and pieces from others and it would explain alot of things.

Where there's smoke usually there's fire.
I don't know if any of you have seen Wilson himself in training videos. I saw one and was not impressed with the guy. How this country bumkin' made it out of the pumpkin patch to be a higly regarded 1911 expert is beyond me. He can't talk! Other than maybe he was at the right place at the right time. Go figure.
I would certainly not pay what he is wanting for a .45. That's outrageous (IMHO).
Am I a dissatisfied customer??? You bet yer dern Bippy I am!

    Ouch. Harsh! But funny..:)
I've never watched any of his videos even though I had a few of them with Wilsons that I bought. He was a competition pistol expert at some point right?

But he must have something, I will give him that. He sure don't impress me with his personality and dress. That's for sure.

Oh man, what a slam! Like I said, he doesn't appear to be a millionaire. Doesn't talk like one either. He had more marbles in his mouth than a toy store.
    Who said that!?
    I said that!

Well you started it. :) :) :) Being from Greenville I'm sure you have heard some heavy duty southern accents too.
