I would recommend Ant Hill Range. It is on 211 between Oak Island and Shallotte. A very nice, outdoor private club with 12 ranges. Two are dedicated rifle, 1-2 dedicated pistol, 1 shotgun and the rest are mixed use. It is about an hour from Wilmington. There are a couple closer, but I do not think they are as nice.

There are also a couple indoor ranges in Wilmington. The folks at Bullz Eye are very nice.

Thanks Bill. I've been to Bullzeye a few times. I'll take a look at the outdoor range you mentioned.

I'm in Hampstead i used to shoot in the game lands but of course the state put a stop to that and decided to build a range out on Shaw highway. I don't know how it's going to work out but in the mean time I've been going to shooters choice on Gorden road,Friendly staff and laid back and the $15 for all day is not to bad. If you can afford to shot all day.

Ye Olde Gun Club in Southport. Affordable and safe but a bit...odd.

Odd in what way? I live in Wilmington and ferry over to Southport several times a month and was thinking of checking this place out.
