Will Will Gen 4's work with old recoil spring assembly?

    Or did Glock create a new problem with incompatible parts? ie: I don't want a Gen 4 model 17 or 22 if parts for them are different than my Gen 3 or older models.

    It is different old springs will not fit. hole in end of slide it too big. Grip plugs wont work also. that's all i found so far.

    That is worse than I thought! The old Gens work fine. Why did they change so many parts?

    Barrels are different,...but a Gen 4 operates fine with a 3rd Gen barrel installed.
    Use the Gen 4 recoil spring assembly.

    Yes the gen 3 recoil spring will work in the gen4 with a adapter plug. There are a lot of online stores that sell the adapter and spring
