Been watching "Strike Back" on Cinemax, very action/sex oriented and I like it.

    Miami Vice... :sigh:

Yeah, I own the collection, and it really was that cool!

I've seen nothing like it since! :dunno:

    The movie was awful... :puking:

The movie's producers and directors evidently thought there was nothing more to Vice than two guys looking cool... They simply don't get it... :shakehead:

The only recent show on Network whose style sort of grabbed me, was House M.D....

The first nine years of ER was good...

And The West Wing, though it was Libtard heaven, was good stuff!

Fire Fly was a hoot, but the Fox execs went out of their way to kill it...

The first 8-years of The X-Files was great stuff!

As mentioned, Cable offers some good things...

    Dexter

    Breaking Bad

    The Walking Dead

    Sons of Anarchy

    Nurse Jackie

But since I don't have cable, I have to wait for these. :sigh:

P.S. I really do need to set up live streaming TV through NETFLIX...

I'm an MV fan, and have the series on DVD. However, both of these shows are better IMO.

BTW: Michael Chiklis, star of The Shield, is in an episode of MV.

    One can only hope not...

teevee is the vast wasteland more so nowadays than ever before.

Least we got Judge Judy, M-F, and those Law and Order reruns.

Not quite the same thing but shows like Southland are pretty damned good.

I like Longmier. Really liked Justified too.

Burn Notice and Justified are both good. Burn Notice is even in Miami.

What most people don't realize is that now are the "good ol' days" of tommorrow.

In 20 years we will be lamenting that SOA, NCIS, Southland, etc. are long gone and nothing is as good as those shows.

    G. Gordon Liddy said on his radio show that it cost $10,000 an hour to shoot the cigar boat scenes in one of the MV shows he appeared in. Remember that was $10,000 an hour in the mid 1980's :wow:

I don't think you will see another show with that like of budget again. :whistling:

I just hope that The Walking Dead doesn't go away in a few more seasons.

I've been digging on HOW. I saw the whole first season in one sitting during a marathon last week (I've been sickly lately and watching a lot of TV).

It's not so much the storyline, but the (likely) accurate portrayal of the living conditions, attitudes, lawlessness and the clothing.

Yes, clothing. Did I mention I like hats? And I've found a company that hand-makes historically accurate headwear. I can't afford one of each, but I need a select few and I don't mind being made fun of.
