Will COPE Act add overhead to Glocktalk?

    I'm not an expert on this issue, but I don't see how it would cause GT expenses to increase. I don't think Eric has ever been in favor of GT being a paid only site. His word on this is, of course, final. ;)

    They want to tax content providers to guarantee speedy delivery of their data. The networks will allocate resources in a stratified manner to favor higher-fee customers. Those who can't or won't pay will only be given the resources left after paying content providers have recieved their share.

    That is the fear of people who oppose this law. The authority to judge who is worthy of "front line" access to the internet is granted by the COPE Act to all network holders. Worthyness is a basic measure of your ability or willingness to pay a tax to the networks. Thus, my question of overhead.
