http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/crim...cle_0bf2f3cb-71f4-58bc-80f7-21acadc322d4.html Late night pursuit of Michael Vance, convicted felon who was believed to have killed his aunt and uncle. Wild = state troopers shooting through their own vehicle's front windshield during the pursuit, getting the perp stopped to continue the engagement in the middle of the road while turning the happy switch to "FULL." Good FLIR video includes the perp leaking out on the roadway at the conclusion.
Damn what a fight. Great job by those officers. And good thing they were equipped well, a lot of guys wouldn't have access to the proper tools to stay in that fight.
Wow, hearing damage for sure lol... fully auto in closed space of a suv. Damn, the flir footage is awesome you can see bullet strikes on concrete and cases ejected.
Here's some of the "rest of the story" on how the FLIR video and helicopter pilots keeping officers on the ground informed almost didn't happen because the chopper was light on fuel. http://www.news9.com/story/33618247/only-on-9-ohp-helicopter-pilots-protected-troopers-from-the-air
Exactly! What's a little Jet A among friends, right? Those guys on the ground probably appreciated those eyes in the sky and would have passed the hat for a fill-up after that adventure.
Those boys, they got the job done, for sure, that was good shooting . Vance, he was about as hard as they come, and it looks like he had some tactics going on as well, the way he used his own vehicle left driverless and in reverse as rolling cover to close the distance....He was the sort of bad guy we all need to be prepared for.
Policing and flying good times I enjoyed my 40 yrs but flying for the dept.noe that was outstanding. Its only jet a.
