Shot at 80 yds with a winchester M70 compact in 7mm-08. 160 gr Speer Hot-Cor at 2400 fps. At the shot he dropped and that was that.
HER rifle and the ONLY rifle in the safe with a non Lepold scope, wears a Nikon 4X. The Compact is a nice rifle for a smaller shooter and the 7mm-08 is a great choice for anyone recoil concious yet still delivers good performance on big game.

Nice fat mulie, and some fine shooting from the sounds of it. Congrats to your wife, it's nice when we can share our hunting with our spouses and kids. Looks like you were down along the Missouri river somewhere? Take care...

Appreciate the comments. And she does have a VERY nice rack.

She has mentioned several times this past week how much fun she had and the feeling of accomplishment when she connected. And why she doesn't go out with me more often.

Maybe we all need to take our ladeis out with us a little bit more.
