"My sweet husband invited me to go hunting with him this year. I couldn’t believe it...the first time ever!

I never thought he'd be willing to share his 'guy time' with me ….. And being the thoughtful man that he is, he even gave me an opening day
Present. He calls it 'The First Timers Lucky Hat'. I'm so fortunate to be married to him.

I have attached a picture of me in my lucky hat."

    Happy Friday!:dancingbanana:

Glad to hear that your spending some quality time with your husband. I very much enjoy time with my wife.

Might I suggest that you guys try target or skeet shooting? You might enjoy your time together even more without the prospect of killing an innocent animal.. You know... "Just for the fun? of it"

Sorry all... I'm all for rkba and 2nd amendment, etc..(God knows I spend enough $$ on it) But shooting and killing an animal for "fun" is just something that I will never be capable of comprehending and I find despicable. JMO however unpopular on this board it may be.

Oops I just got the joke :/ sorry... That's the trouble reading this stuff on a blackberry!

Who says they weren't gonna eat it? I don't think most hunters just kill for the hell of it, I believe most make use of the meat in some way. Venison chili is awesome.

No worries. Ignorance of a subject and the inability to comprehend other reasons for engaging in certain activities are perfectly good justifications for disliking them.

Yes I stand corrected. That just goes to show you there is no hope for this one.

Hunters are one the primary tools used by wildlife managers to manage animal populations. Unchecked, these populations have some pretty miserable alternatives. Further, the fees paid by hunters fund much of the active management taking place. When you examine the alternatives, hunting is a pretty attractive, effective solution.

As people get further and further from their food source, it is easy to be unaware of many of the realities.
