At times I could swear that a bunch of 12 year olds are posting on this forum.

It's not just this forum. They are on all the gun forums I visit.

Well I am guessing that this is directed at me. So let me start a reply to you sir.

I am a 51 year old man. I have been trained by multiple police agencies, Government agencies and very close dear friends who still go to the sandbox to fight for our freedoms.
I have been shooting for 30 years, I have been taught by who I consider to be the best. I also have been shooting pistol matches for about 20 years. By the look of your avatar you are a match shooter also. Good for you.
If you bother to read this now 10 page thread that was started back a few months ago you might have read or not, why I want this particular gun. I want it because I want it. Plain and simple.

Oh how I love the "Experts" on here. Which you might be a great shooter I don't know honestly I don't care either! But when people get on a thread and tell the OP that they would be better off investing in
Take shooting lessons from a USPSA GM or an IDPA Master, that will get much further ahead.FYI I have taken a few classes by Rob Leatham. You could actually shoot a HiPoint at a local match and smoke everyone. Instead of buying a "MAGIC GUN" that will outshoot everyone on the range as soon as you pull the trigger. How can I not laugh at you and your stupid quotes?!?!
Listen up Junior, I can shoot anything in my safe from a stock beat up 8MM Mauser I paid $40.00 for to my Les Baer 1911 that has over 50,000 rounds through it! I am very capable in shooting anything in my arsenal very well thank you very much for your concern of how I spend my $$$.
Maybe you should read the thread before you open mouth and insert your foot? And here I didn't think my wife cared about how I spend my $$ thank you for your concern again!

FYI to the fanboys such as me as soon as i get notification I will let you all know!
Have a great weekend everyone I am off to a hockey tournament for my 12 year old!

Listen up Junior, no I don't think so. I'm 68 and started with Col. Jeff Cooper in 1967 at Big Bear Leather Slap. But I know Rob doesn't take any students who don't have the fundamentals under their belt. However, why would you buy a $1,700 Glock, which is still only worth $400 at the end of the day?

By the way, you never said what USPSA Division you are classified in....

Because he wanted it. Plain and simple. I can't think of a better reason myself.

Good for you. but are you understanding that I want this gun? I don’t think that’s getting through your head. I want one!

Lay off the guy. He never claimed it was to make him a better shooter. He wants it for fun. I have plenty of guns like that.

All your arguments also apply to casual C-level open division shooters spending $3k on “race guns” and getting smoked by the local 16 year old hot shoe shooting production with a stock Glock 19.

Having a “for fun” gun, being a good shooter and being a competition shooter aren’t mutually exclusive. You’re being the USPSA version of a FUDD. Someone so narrowly opinionated that they can’t entertain the notion that other people might find joy in different things.

Your posts are usually constructive and insightful.

On this thread, they're just petty.

I'm not saying that to pick... we all have our moments (I know I sure do), but maybe let this one go. Unsubscribe from the thread if all you've got is "why would you want to spend your money that way".

Okay, time to take a break. By the way this is not the Competition Forum, also realize the comment seems hollow if your life is measured by how you view yourself as a shooter.

Suggest this Forum may not suit your Lifestyle?

I would have to say he is jealous that you are getting something expensive just because you want it.
