    Heres GT rule number 8.

    8. Do NOT reopen threads pertaining to subjects that had previous threads closed.

From the description of the "Front Office" forum:

Now, it doesn't finish saying what to do if you have questions, comments or complaints, but I assume that the intent is for them to be posted here.

I'm asking a simple question. The thread was closed for no apparent reason. Since I started the thread and was getting good feedback, I was just curious about why it was closed.

Since you brought it up, Rule #8 says not to open threads pertaining to subjects that had previous threads closed. That isn't what I did. If it was, I would have started another thread entitled "It's a phone". I believe you are misunderstanding the intent of that rule. I'm simply wondering WHY the thread was closed. I'm not trying to start a thread pertaining to the same subject. As far as I know it's not against any site rules to ask the admins why a thread was closed...especially if there isn't some obvious reason. I would have gladly sent a PM asking this question to the moderator/admin that closed it if I knew who that person was, but I have no way of knowing it so I'm asking here.

I respect their decision to close it (as if I have a choice), but I'm still curious about WHY it was closed. It doesn't appear to break any of the site rules.

After reviewing the posting rules again, I still don't understand why the thread was closed.

    1. No illegal message content. - None.

    2. No foul language. - None.

    3. No rude or abusive language. - None.

    4. Posts with racist or extremist comments or content are not allowed. - None.

    5. No flame wars. - None.

    6. Unsolicited posts by companies advertising products are not allowed. - None.

    7. Posts with sexually suggestive or explicit content are not allowed. - None.

    8. Do NOT reopen threads pertaining to subjects that had previous threads closed. - None now or then.

    9. Do NOT post the same or similar thread in multiple forums. - Didn't do.

    10. Do not post or link to content containing graphic depictions of injury or death to people or animals. - None.

Again, I'm not trying to argue with the moderator's decision, but I still don't see why the thread was closed. Even the few comments that were made that MIGHT have been questionable were much tamer than many other comments I've seen on GT. Did I miss something?? ;g

Okay. Thank you for posting why you closed it. I'm not quite sure what was so offensive, but I guess some people have thinner skin than I do.

However, I still believe that none of the posting rules for the site were violated. :)

Seemed fine to me too Braden, but we don't run this place. Some folk think that the world revolves around their religion, and
they have pretty thin skin when it comes to the subject.

Thanks Bob. You didn't have to re-open it. All I wanted to know was why it was closed and you answered that question for me. I do appreciate you opening it back up though...and your service to this site. :)

Hey true believer, any chance you can start posting in a thread when you close it? Quite a few other mods do this, I notice, and it tends to prevent threads like these. As far as getting reported posts, I guess some people on this forum are just too sensative. ;c
