Why doesn't Glock make a 45acp or 10mm the same size of a 19/23? I know many people use the 29/30 as a CCW but the size of the 19/23 are much more versatile as far as I'm concerned. I like the longer handle that the 19/23 have.

It just seems to me that Glock is behind the times on this.

it seems the only way they could make it thinner was if they could make a single stack .45 or 10mm

I guess they can't make a gun for every different need or hand size. What about the G36 as is mentioned above? Thin, easy to carry.

As has been said they make a .45 acp close to the size of a G19, and its called the G36. Physically, it is not possible to make a double stack .45 or 10mm in a frame the size of a G19.

The .45 ACP and 10mm are longer cartridges. They require a larger framed pistol.
.45 GAP is the ballistic twin of .45 ACP and the answer for many folks that want a .45 in a smaller framed pistol.

First of all, the GAP isn't a part of this conversation. I have opions about the GAP that I will not share at this time.

Second of all, I didn't say I wanted a single stack or a thinner gun. I would like to have a 45acp or 10mm the same length of a 19 or 23. If the 29 and 30 had just a little longer grip they would be perfect in my opinion....

I suppose you have already looked at the specs on the G36 and compared it to the 19/23? I just looked at them to be sure and I saw very little difference in measurements, but then you might not be able to handle a big bore .45 in either acp or gap.

I've always thought the 30 was rather odd in size. It's small enough for CCW except for the width. Hell the 30's magazine alone looks and feels wider than my entire 26's grip (I know it's really not but dang that is one wide magazine).

While they are at it wasting money on so many frame variations, they just need to make the G36 without that stupid extension so that it looks more like a regular grip. Then it would not pinch, I don't even care about getting an extra round in the mag. I think the G36 would be a lot more popular.

Also, a G36 fullsize, this was mentioned some time back back John Farnham, this was apparently never brought to be. I like the GAPs, but I prefer the thinner frames and slide of the G36.
