Why on earth won't Glock make a 10mm compact?

Just wondering if anyone has thought of this. 10mm, is the absolute greatest handgun cartridge ever created in my opinion and I think it is ashame we must choose between full size or subcompact. Why not a compact similar to a G23?

The G29 subcompact is a little deceiving. Glock's subcompact version of the 10mm is actually a compact in most anyone elses eyes. The frame is the same as the G30 compact.

I guess Glock's 10mm and 45acp "subcompact" covers both worlds. I wish they had one smaller, like the size of the 26/27/39.

Because if Glock had 3 versions of the 10mm on display and Chuck Norris walked into the same room, the world would vaporize from all that concentrated badassness

A 10mm. cartridge requires a larger frame than the 26/27/33/39.

A 6+1 single stack would be awesome, maybe even good pocket carry.

    It's pretty nice
They have 10 rd. single stack 23 mags. They could make a 10 rd. 23 size gun just a little bit longer front to back in the grip. The reason they don't is money. They make ACP and 10mm identical but for breechface size and barrels. This would cost more money but as seen by the 38, even a 23 sized ACP would be 8+1. Any .40 Glock could be made in 10mm with a slightly longer (front to back) grip.

    1. Are the 10mm Glocks big sellers? Not really, they do OK in Glock's line-up and the 10mm is a niche round with a solid core of supporters but it's not in the same realm as the big 3 popularity wise.

10mm fans should be thanking Glock everyday for keeping the round afloat, otherwise it would only be in the usually very expensive realm of boutique 1911's and even more outside of the mainstream.

    2. Is the Glock 36 Slimline a big seller? No not really. So does combining the two seem like a good idea to Glock? It appears not.

Glock probably does not see a big $ gain on such a project.

Government contracts are where the consistent big money is and the 10mm does not get those contracts, no matter how great a round it may be.

Heck even the 45 GAP is used by 5 State Police Agencies and the 357Sig is also used in some LEO circles. The 10mm is not used by any large police forces. Even in Alaska only a few carry the round.
The Danes use the Glock 20 for their military forces when stationed on Greenland but when they return to Europe its back to the G17.

How many years have you been under that rock?!
Did ya miss the release of the G29? :dunno:

Overall size is actually SMALLER than the G23, but .09" wider at the slide.

    :wow:
Now I wish I had one like that.

New company Boberg is coming out with a new very interesting 9mm.

They say sometime in the future they will bring out a small 10 mm like we all want. Pocket carry with little recoil.:wow:
