Why is this section the only one that is full of sense and good fun?

I stupidly got pulled into a magazine capacity thread where I responded by basically saying it up to the user and its pointless to talk down to a person's personal choice and quote percentages where even if its a 1% chance you will need your gun, that 1% is a person or persons that DID need it. I then basically said nobody can predict the future just like that lowly 1% that needed their gun.

    You get the point...

Well anyway it was a post to try and make people see reason and stop the bikering and then a senior member steps in and tries to pull me into starting an argument by quoting sections of my post and putting in a ridiculous counter scenario. Its like no matter how normal and even minded you put something over at the general firearms or carry issues section it ends up being twisted in a ridiculous way for no reason at all. I've come to the conclusion that the 1911 section is the only decent place to have adult conversations about firearms while also poking fun.

I saw Bac get into a discussion in General about this 1911 section where someone said it was a bunch of guys complementing each other, washing each others balls over their barbeque guns.

I get fooled into thinking its worth trying the other sections of this site but end up disappointed and laughing at the brick walls I try to reason with.

Anyone else notice this or am I just hallucinating? :tempted:

You have to learn who to take serious and who to ignore.

I wish they wouldn't even show the post count.

That would automatically deflate the egos of some "senior" posters
    who insist on being right.

It would also help confuse the sycophants that kiss their asses
and contribute to their over inflated sense of authority and importance.

Post count is obnoxious. I was a member of a VW forum and I would get into arguments with senior members with 12k posts. They were kids in high school or college. I was a certified factory mechanic with 100 posts.

It is amazing who people will consider an expert.

Funny thing is when I told the guy he was trying to pull me into an argument he said I was the one trying to start the argument. I basically had to just laugh at him and not return to that thread. This is the type of responses I got when I first joined here and could not believe that all the rumors of GT on other forums was right on. Then I came to the 1911 section more and realized there is at least one piece of dignity here that most probably don't know about which is more than likely a good thing.

    Any takers?:whistling:

Don't let David Armstrong bother you. He is a buffoon, cop impersonator. He takes the opposite view in every thread so that he can dazzle people with his superior intellect.

Arguing with him is like arguing with a retard. They drag you down and beat on you until you are as deranged as them.

I think biggest problem with General Glocking is fan boys. Then in General Firearms there are some good guys but they get drowned out by the idiots. I tryed posting in the high cap mag thread that was a waste. Sorry but a High cap mag isnt gonna do much vs 5 or 6 people.
