Why is it that everytime I mention or ask about the S&W M&P....

all I get is "well S&W makes good revolvers, and I'll leave it at that"?:dunno:Does the M&P really fall that short of other semi auto's these days? The same people that told me this always recommend the FN FNP line of pistols, so I guess I better check those out also.

I have an mp 9c.... I love S&W but I must admit... M&P magazines are insultingly expensive (as far as I'm concerned)

Some have had issue with the slide finish...mine is fine however

I LOVED my M&P9C that I had; never had an issue with it, BUT I sold it. I ended up with a Sig P250 Subcompact. I like the P250 Subcompact better, honestly. BUT at the same time, I'll admit that the M&P9C was a great little gun.

We have two 9 compacts for a couple of years. Great guns!

My last 3 purchases have been M&Ps. The trigger reset isn't the greatest but they fit my hand great. I'll definitely be picking up some more (not giving up any of my Glocks though.) I've bought plenty of mags for them for $19.95/plus ship so not seeing where they are insanely expensive. :dunno

Wow.. That's some price.. Sw sells them for 42+shipping.. Cheaper than dire sells them for 38+shipping and gbroker has some for 36+shipping and they are only 10rds. Where the hell are you getting them for 19? My buddy told me that's less than cost and he owns a shop

Disregard such nonsense, not only is the M&P series good but so are their 3 and 4 digit semi autos.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say it here but here it goes...botach.

    I just received (2) 9mm 17 round and (2) 15 round .40 mags for $88.XX shipped. (They are genuine S&W mags BTW.)

I'm one of the lucky ones. :whistling:

Just checked my bank statement and it was $88.86. Your friend may need a better wholesale source.

I checked it out.. Thanks for the link...but they don't sell anything for the compact models.... Maybe that has something to do with it? Thanks though.

Could be. Maybe the finger groove/extension makes them more expensive???? :dunno:

Fair warning, many have had issues with Botach so it may be a crap shoot (I've never had a problem.)

Funny I know S&W makes a good revolver but never liked them (I really don't know why just one of those things). I like their autos much better in comparison.

I really like the M&P's a lot, I will admit that the mag's are a little pricey though.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the M&P pistols....My last 3 guns I have bought have been M&Ps. All with in the last month. M&P9c, M&P.40, M&P.40c and I already had the M&P.45 midsize. (Reminds me I have to update my signature)

Outstanding pistols. I have the M&P9 (full size) coming in next week.

It's true S&W does make a good revolver. Just got a model 327 (love it). A friend of mine just got an M&P .45 Compact and it is amazing. Trigger was a little rough at first but after we ran some round through it I much prefer it to the glock trigger. Functioned flawlessly and the first magazine I put through it at 25 feet sent all the rounds into a group the size of my fist. I will be looking to pick up the same pistol in the near future.

I have put one layaway, for a brief time was posted at about $419 at Bud site and grab that deal(could not resits). I miss the deal when they came out at the $439 price. So, I got even luckier.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way.

It's obvious to me that this is a sign to pick up a full-size M&P.
