I don't really know. Never owned one, but the darn things look
unreliable and boy they are heavy.
There you go, that opinion should be good for 4700 views!

I make posts like this when I get too much typing assistance from Wild Turkey Rare Breed Bourbon Whiskey. At 108.2 proof it sneaks up on you and before you know it you're drunk posting.

    ;)

I've had mine since 1990 and had nothing but good results in that time. Not sure why you hate the Commander. :dunno:

My Springfield Champion has a 1/4" longer barrel, making it much more reliable and balanced.:tongueout:

It didnt' go over my head... but you know what? YOU'RE RIGHT!!

What good are they? Is it supposed to be a defensive pistol or a target gun?

It weighs a TON, they're expensive, and how many spare mags are you going to have to carry? 6? 7?

The only thing stupider is the chopped battle rifle trend we've seen as of late.

If it's a classic design, a work of art, and a heavy hitter, then run it as it was designed!

This thread is a clear indicator of how the art of sarcasm is often lost in print form...especially without proper context. :)

And for some reason people who post on gun forums tend to have no BS filter at all. That's why I stay away from all GD forums on boards as of late...

My lightweight commander isn't heavy. I don't like the way it shoots, necessarily, but not heavy. I also like the looks of the Commander size, for carry and just for ease of handling. But for shooting? Give me a Kimber full size Custom Gold Match!
