whats the deal with these? discontinued? obviously once you have to change the mag there goes your light, but i like the idea specially for the subcompact guns any info is greatly appreciated
I actually bought one some years back. the idea was to use it for a house gun and for out of town trips in hotel rooms. I think i just got tired of the way it looked! i now have a 21SF with a light rail.
Glockparts has them for $15.95. Works fine as long as you have a light of the correct diameter, just under 1". Works fine for HD as long as the beam is fairly wide; otherwise you have to point a loaded weapon at an unknown person to identify them. Not too practical for carry.
They never really took off because they married your light to one mag. It is a better idea to mount the light on your gun so you don't lose it during a mag change. Plus they looked goofy and were ungainly.
i just bought one with a mag and was curious. kinda nice to have this little rare piece will definetly keep it as night stand though
